About the Program: Morodok is a local NGO based in Sre Ambel district, Koh Kong. Morodok’s mission is “to improve living conditions, strengthen solidarity and create ownership for the poor people in the coastal communities of Cambodia through building their capacity, supporting their initiatives and facilitating dialogue between relevant actors.”
Consultant Trainers (Various Positions)
Morodok is seeking consultants to provide short trainings to its staff in areas related to Morodok’s future work. The trainings will be conducted over Zoom at mutually agreed times, preferably in July 2021. (Morodok will provide the Zoom connection). The trainings required are:
- Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction (5 day training): covering understanding CC and DRR, government structure related to disaster management, HVCA tool, preparation of disaster management plans at commune level, and related topics.
- Home Gardening and Basic Nutrition (1 day training): covering components of good nutrition and principles of home gardening.
- Working with People with Disabilities (1 day training): covering how to integrate People with Disabilities into Morodok’s work involving livelihoods, small businesses, home gardens, revolving funds, and community-based natural resource management.
Consultants may bid for all or any part of the above tasks. Training should be practical, easy to understand and fully in Khmer language. Written materials in Khmer should accompany the training, for staff’s future reference. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, Morodok wishes to receive the trainings online (e.g. via Zoom). The training recipients will be 7 program staff involved in the execution of Morodok’s program.
Proven professional experience in the relevant subject area, fluency in Khmer, extensive experience in conducting trainings, strong adult learning and facilitation skills, and ability to draft a suitable lesson plan.
